Autism Acceptance month

Hi Reader,

Medicaid renewal begins this month. During the pandemic, states could not drop people enrolled in Medicaid. That ends this month. Read the article below for more information on how this impacts people and how you can help people maintain their Medicaid.

Also, April is Autism Acceptance Month. In the US, it is the fastest growing developmental disability. Autism affects everyone. Not all people with autism act the same or need the same level of care, but they all deserve to be included in society. The quote below is specific to autism acceptance, but the reminder is the same for all people.

“Autism Acceptance Month is a great reminder that we can and should see the individual, not a diagnosis, and work together to advocate for the unique services and supports that help each person live fully,” said Christopher Banks, President and CEO of the Autism Society of America. “It’s critical that we all do our part. At the Autism Society, we are working at local and national levels to ensure that everyone in the Autism community is connected to the resources they need, when they need them.”

Why I am Grateful:

My youngest daughter, Chloe, just turned 13. I welcome the teenage years and am always grateful for her in my life. Her willingness to hang out, share her life, and snuggle with me are a gift that I will always treasure.

In this case, the eclipse occurred because the moon was in the way of the sun. Last week, our pastor wondered if we were experiencing an "Eclipse of God", where...

I appreciate all the love and support I have received. A lot does not make sense right now, but what I do know is she...
