Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month
Hi Reader,
March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month. Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer's awareness proclamation states in part, "WHEREAS, Michigan residents with and without developmental disabilities work together, play together, learn together, and grow together;" I love this statement and what it says about our society. People with any type of disability are members of society and will no longer accept being excluded from society. Simple words, very powerful message.

Why I am Grateful:
Last month, I presented at the Michigan Transition Services Association annual conference. I was very honored that about 75 people braved the ice storm that much of the state shut down for, to listen to what I had to say. I am grateful for everything these people do for our children. I am lucky enough to have been able to learn with and from them at the conference.
